Universal Potteries was a manufacuter of pottery dinnerware in Cambridge, Ohio. From 1934 until sometime in 1955, they produced numerous line or shapes and hundreds of different decal that were applied under the glaze. The most recognizable decals are the Cattails, Bittersweet, Calico Fruit, Moss Rose, Circus, and Woodvine. The solid colors of Cherrytone, Burgendy, Chartreuse, Dove Grey, and Forest Green are just a few of the colors that were manufactured. Other lines and shapes were Raymor Universal designed by Ben Seibel, Fascination by Alf Robson and Emma Flowers. The Elsie, ELmer, Beauregard and Beulah family were produced and represented the Borden Company.
